Seed to Seed International
Growing opportunities in underserved communities
Seed to Seed supports farmers, tribes, and agricultural organizations through educational programs, resource procurement, program management and community-centered facilitation.
We primarily work with Indigenous-serving projects in the US and abroad, uplifting work that reconnects people to cultural lifeways, traditional foods, and land-based practices.

About Us
Founded by Andrea Carter, Ph.D.
Andrea received her doctorate in Plant Science from the University of Arizona, specializing in crop adaptations to drought. For over four years she served as the technical lead at the seed conservation nonprofit Native Seeds/SEARCH, supporting farmers and community efforts in traditional seed stewardship across the Southwest.
Being of multiethnic background she is inspired by the cultural connections that unite land-based peoples across the globe.
Founded in 2025, Seed to Seed’s current partners include the Traditional Native American Farmers Association, Native Seeds/SEARCH, and the White Mountain Apache Farmers Cooperative.
Our team involves farmers and community educators with extensive experience promoting health, wellness and community action in rural and Indigenous communities of the US and beyond.
